Entering Search Criteria

When you enter search criteria in the fields in the Text Searches portion of the Search screen, Bibz uses your entries to select records that match the criteria you specify.  If you omit a field, that field is not referenced when executing the search.

Bibz searches are NOT case sensitive.  If you search for all books authored by Dan Brown, Bibz locates the appropriate records whether you specify the name in uppercase (DAN BROWN), lowercase (dan brown), or mixed case (Dan Brown).

Bibz searches make it possible for you to:

·  Enter multiple search criteria.

·  Use the Boolean search operators (NOT) and (OR).

·  Search using a wildcard character (*).

·  Search for phrases.

·  Search for names in the Author, Illustrator, and Biographee fields.
