Searching with Wildcard Characters

On the Search screen, you can search using the asterisk (*) wildcard character in place of one or more characters.

Example:  If you enter

ELV*

in the Title field, search results will include books with Elvis and Elves in the title.

If you enter

Robert Johns*

in the Author field, the results will include titles by Robert Johns, Robert Johnston, and John Robert Johnsick.

If a user is searching for an author with 3 (or more) names or initials, each name must be entered or a truncated search with the wildcard character should be used.

For example:  If you are looking for Mary Higgins Clark, you would enter Mary Higgins*.

Note that a minimum of three characters need to be used for the wildcard search to complete accurately.
