Entering Names in the Author, Illustrator, or Biographee Fields

In Search fields that require names, enter the name in the format:

                        Firstname Lastname

            OR     

                        Lastname, Firstname

            OR

                        Lastname

When specifying the first and last names, specify the full name of the author/illustrator/biographee.  All titles by the selected author/illustrator/biographee appear in the search results.

If you enter only a last name, the search results will include author/illustrator/biographee whose last names match the specified characters. 

Example:  If you enter only the last name

Janes

in the Author, Illustrator, or Biographee field, search results will include Robert Janes and Karen F. Janes. 

In addition, you can perform a truncated search.

Example:  If you enter the asterisk (*) wildcard

Robert Johns*

in the Author, Illustrator, or Biographee field, the search results will include titles by or about Robert Johns, Robert Johnson, and Robert Johnston.
