Specifying the Processing Profile

Processing Profile is the descriptive name of the processing options.  Note that processing profiles for McNaughton products will begin with the library's McNaughton subscription id.

The process of placing an order using Bibz begins by selecting titles to add to a list.  You may search for titles or select titles from an existing list supplied by Brodart or use a shared list created by another Bibz user.

When you add each title to a list, your library's Processing Profile determines the cataloging and processing applied to your order. If you are not applying a grid template in your list, the Processing Profile you have selected is used to determine the cataloging and processing option.  This information is based on the selected Processing Profile when the title is added to the list.

Your Bibz Administrator will establish a Default profile for you.  The default Processing Profile remains in effect until you make a different selection.  Selecting a different Processing Profile will cause the newly selected Processing Profile to remain in effect throughout a session.

Profile

The Processing Profile indicates the cataloging and/or processing profile.  The profile contains instructions on how titles are to be processed by Brodart before shipping.

Processing profiles are defined by your library system and Brodart.

Your Bibz Administrator will establish which processing profiles you can use when creating lists and placing orders.
